Creativity:
ReplyDeleteCreativity is something that would define each and everyone of us, we are all creative in are own way, everyone see's creativity differently, which helps provide to the example that we are all creative.. Creativity can be stopped for some, just yesterday, I went out to design/draw on site, and half way through one of my concepts, I got kicked out, or even the smallest things. What artist hasn't had the moment where you can't sharpen a pencil. Like i said, we are all creative in our own way, a creative person has to be able to imagine. I like going on walks, or listening to music to find something that would inspire me to expand my creativity.
Stress Management:
A try not to stress as much, but I usually get stressed when I have a lot on my plate at one time, when there is too much going on for one person to handle. Stress can be used just like an adrenaline rush if you focus, I like to use it when I'm playing sports and my team has to come up from a deficit. I will start meditating more, being calm and collective would help anyone.

ReplyDeleteCreativity:
ReplyDeletesomething that you make out of nothing by your influences. yes we are all creative in our own way, we all have different point of views of things in life.
During last semester, I was taking figure modeling class and the teacher assigned us to find a creative character to sculpt for the class but I picked a really simple thing cause I couldn't come up with something creative. which was Stitch from the movie Lilo & Stitch when other kids came up with really creative characters by their own. I got an average grade while they were getting an above average grade.
Creative person likes to think and has his/her own beliefs. I research and ask people for advices.
Stress management:
school, homework, friends, guys, bills, etc. I will try to not to care about stupid dramas/boys and actually do something productive to myself so instead of feeling down or annoyed, I would feel better for myself.
Stress was never helpful to me.
Have a positive mind state and appreciate every struggles and blessings cause we all live once.
CREATIVITY
ReplyDeleteTo me, creativity is showing up your ideas into more better and ideal way. Depends on person, they have different thoughts of how they come out of the creativity. Which means, there's no thing saying who's better and who's not. There were some barriers to creativities happened. For example, in anatomy class I had really great idea for my midterm project which my instructor also liked it. However, on the day of presenting, I noticed that it didn't come out with my creative idea. Characteristics of creative person, who has various ideas and imagines. To get my creative ideas, I watch movie or listen to music and talk about past memories with my friends.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
I don't really get stressed out. But I mostly get stressed out when i couldn't come out with great ideas for my projects. I'm not sure what stress can actually be helpful to me. I will become to be more calm and not to think to complicated way. Also to feel free and always to be positive.
Devin Dubovsky:
ReplyDeleteCreativity:
My definition of creativity is anyone who can create something new or with mass appeal. I dont think all people are creative equally some are more apt than others. I dont have any backing for that opinion just conjecture. Sometimes if I try and force myself to be creative my art ends up feeling forced and at least in my opinion isnt as good as the work that comes from being relaxed and without a time limit. I find that creative people are more likely to wear whatever they want and act however they want. I dont wish to sound cocky but I rarely ever encounter a situation where my imagination is lacking but in the few times it has happened I just try to distance myself from the project. The answer will come naturally sooner or later. And of course when all else fails you can always brainstorm =]
Stress Management:
Deadlines stress me out. Even more then deadlines the thought of my work not measuring up does. Stress is my motivation to get my work done. I know that it needs to be out of the way before I can get back to relaxing. I wasnt in class tuseday so I can only go off of what I already know about my own stress and thats simply to avoid it by working harder.
Creativity:
ReplyDeleteMy definition of creativity is the ability to either come up with something entirely new, or to modify something enough that it stands out from what it was originally. I think that not all individuals are innately creative, but everyone has the potential to become creative. I think this way because I have experienced both moments of creativity and moments lacking creativity. In my opinion it is entirely reliant on your state of mind. I don't think there are really any set characteristics surrounding creative people, as creativity can come from anyone at any time. To overcome blocks in my creativity, which are not uncommon, I have to relax. I find that personally I am a lot more creative when I'm relaxed.
Stress Management:
Not a lot stresses me out, as I live by life centered around the idea that everything will work out in the end. However, generally speaking, thinking about having to go home after this semester ends can put me on edge. To be under even less stress than I am, I think I should just work on getting all of my work done earlier.
Creativity, see a whole new point of view of things, being open minded in a sorta way , although it seem some people do not seem creative individuals can be creative in their certain strengths from cooking- to business work. things that can possibly keep from being creative is boredom, stress, depression basically anything that makes me lazy and tired and sad. ways that i can get over some moments of lacking on creativity would be to go out and escape, read a good book, workout, interact with others and bounce ideas off one another or use whats making me feel uncreative and express it on what im working on.
ReplyDeletethe things that cause stress to me is homework, school in general, pointless problems like people and there drama they attempt to create, small problems that become bigger then they should, DEADLINES. stress has never seem to been helpful it creates anger and more stress through that. i have been working out which has help relieve stress, i also talk to friends and family about problems and vent to them and just breathing and relaxing when i can find the time.
CREATIVITY
ReplyDeleteCreativity is using originality and imagination to turn an old idea into something new with personal input. All individuals are creative; it just varies what they are creative in and to what extent they put it to use. Some people are creative in designing buildings, where other may be creative in choreographing a dance routine. Some designs and routines are outstanding compared to others, and that's the extent of that person's creativity. My biggest barrier to creativity is when I completely run out of ideas and I am left to using the same ideas again in the same project. I try to fix this by listening to music, browsing through some ideas on the web, or just talking to someone about some ideas and getting their input on the work so far.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
I think the only factor that stresses me out is when I think that I cannot get through a project or homework. And that stress is what causes me to procrastinate, because when you don't have the confidence or interest to do something, you would put it off if you had a choice. When there is a deadline and I am pretty close to it, I think that is when some of my best work comes out. Under that time restraint, there is more energy because of the stress and I think that's what helps come up with better ideas faster. After Tuesday's class, I think knowing that stress is good for you at times; it will definitely help relax me more during those stressful times. but at the same time not take it too easy that I end up slacking or producing lousy work.
creativity to me is a persons ideas, and works that were created by their imagination.I think its also coming up with things that are innovative and fresh. I believe that all individuals are creative because we are always learning and and experiencing new things that influence us to think the way we do. Emotional stress would have to be one of my major barriers that keeps me from being creative. I noticed that when there is a problem with relations I cant think straight. Self discipline and independence is what i believe to be some traits of a creative person, and being adventurous as well. When I’m lacking creativity, i take a deep breath and go out for a walk hoping that I will find inspiration and motivation within myself.
ReplyDeleteHaving so much to do in so little time, problems with relationships, and school stresses me out. Stress has only helped me out when I have to get something done before a deadline. After tuesdays class I think i will try my best to catch up in work and start to deal with each problem before it builds up.
Creativity is the synthesis of a new idea, or the mixing and matching of acquired ideas to create new ones. Creative responses result from trying to explain or show your world as you see it, or from finding methods to overcome unique problems. All persons who plan on surviving, on their own if necessary, are creative. You cannot avoid creating simple cause and effect hypotheses for scenarios around you –it is part of the psychology of the human mind, deeply rooted in our intuitive thought. We tend to only label artists as creative, but that is because creating is their sole focus in their job. Whereas a surgeon or military general definitely need creativity to respond to issues well, yet creativity is just one aspect of their job and not the main focus of it. Less creative individuals rely heavily on the knowledge of others, avoiding the effort it takes to arrive at their own conclusions, either because they are mentally lazy or uncertain about their own judgment. This predictably weakens their ability to handle new situations. Many actively creative people seek out new situations or problems as stimulation, to trim mental fat.
ReplyDeleteI lose creativity when: 1.My base knowledge of a topic is weak. Our intuitive thought processes draw upon the most available knowledge we have and make rapid associations between ideas, and this is the first step in creating anything. If little or no quality information is available, associations cannot be made easily and there is a dearth of fresh ideas. This can be combatted or overcome with relentless research.
2. I am physically in decline. Before break I lost a ridiculous amount of fat, and although I was eating as healthy as I could and taking all the necessary vitamins, I was still burning out steadily. I have read recently that, depending on level of activation, the brain burns more glucose than any other part of the body (–explains why I can eat vast desserts every single meal of the day and stay at a relatively normal weight). Therefore I am going to make sure to save money for trips to the bakery when finals start getting crazy.
Now onto stress management. I actually started a list the other day of “Things That Piss Me Off” which would do well to explain the little peccadilloes I stress about:
1. That some people don’t believe what I say until many other people are saying it also.
2. That in real life I don’t show my emotions very well until they’re at a dangerous point.
3. Slothfulness of people and businesses in my hometown.
4. Emphatic redundancy in speech, either in a televangelist’s sermon or my mom’s dinner table stories.
5. Walking with people whose gait is unnecessarily slow or stumbling.
Some of these I can do little about, besides put them down in writing to get them out. Others are indicators that I have things I can work on, like being more diplomatic and persuasive as in the case of #1 or trying to be less cynical and rigid in #2. Even #3, 4 and 5 are reminders that I need to be more patient now that I think about it. When I can act about them too, then that releases the stress so I can focus on something else. Regarding the physical stress I’ve undergone, I’ve managed to keep my drinking down to a sane and mild pace, and to sleep and eat more normally.
CREATIVITY
ReplyDeleteCreativity in my definition is to handle an ordinary task in an extraordinary way, to not just think outside the box but to create a whole new box, to bring a whole knew perspective to the table. With that said I believe that all people have the ability to be creative. Some more than others but still every person was born with a mind and creativity comes from the mind not from a certain gene or background or what have you, creativity is in all of us and we all have the power to create new amazing things to offer this world.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
What stresses me out is when things are out of order or unorganized or when people are ignorant to the reality of a matter. I cant help but stress and feel overwhelmed when there is no order or understanding surrounding me it freaks me out. I deal with stress but either hopping on my skateboard putting on that good song and bombing down a hill, usually by the time im at the bottom my heads clear and I have found a organized souliton and am ready to take what ever obstical is in front of me.
To me creativity means putting your personal thoughts and ideas and applying them to something to create something new. & yes i would say we are all creative. because when we create something new we are being creative. My job often requires me to be very creative and think on the spot. so I feel like the master at being stuck in situations like this. At work I will often come up with an idea, but it gets shot down because of company guidelines or whatever and its hard to work around those rules and still be creative. so usually if I am really stuck I take a little break from that particular project and come back to it, almost to get like a fresh look at it when i come back to it. I think everyone can be creative, as long as you are open to change, i guess would be a simple way to put it.
ReplyDeleteSchool stresses me out. probably my number one thing. it keeps me very busy and very strict deadlines. along with additional hours put in outside of class. my second would be work. This also takes a lot of my time, and often conflicts with school and its difficult to manage. I think that stress has been helpful to me in the past maybe when doing homework, like if I'm stressed that my assignment is due tomorrow i have to get it done now. I think some things I can do to make sure I have less stress in my life is, to keep things in my life orderly. set deadlines for myself, such as when to get homework done by, or set certain times aside when i don't have to do anything at all.
Creativity is one's ability to create something out of nothing, or taking another idea and shaping it into something of their own. I believe all individuals can be creative, and people who say they are not just havent tapped into their imagination well enough. I myself think that I'm not very creative at times, but it depends on the mood I'm in. If I'm depressed, then its much harder for me to create anything, much less anything original. If I got stuck on a project, I would turn on music or a video game and I would see if I could draw some inspiration from there, which I usually could.
ReplyDeleteAs for stress? Good god, what DOESN'T stress me out? I've always been easily prone to stress. Last year it was my girlfriend who was put in a mental hospital, which played a part in me failing classes. one day, I broke down in tears in the middle of clas because I couldn't deal with what was happening. I'm not sure if stress has ever helped me in my life. It was actually this school that made me have my first panic attack last semester, and you yourself saw how bad it can get a few weeks ago. I guess I'll try to reduce my stress by not being holed up in my room for so long at a time. I can get cabin fever.
CREATIVITY
ReplyDeleteCreativity is a individualistic approach to a problem or situation. Not all individuals are creative because most people tend to think the same and don't challenge themselves. A few barriers that I have encountered when it comes to creativity has sometimes been in the class room when my teacher ask me to do something specific I feel crippled in the ability to approach the assignment in my individual way and style. A creative person is a person who challenges other people ways of thinking by presenting something that is often seen as weird or different. Creative people don't like constraints and they are not draw to things that stop them from being free. When I lack creativity I listened to soulful music and or poetry that I find inspiring.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
Things that stress me out include family problems and my fear of being a failure. In order to avoid these stress I usually ignore the things around me that I don't need to be stressing about and I write down my thoughts constantly so that I can get them off of my chest.
